School Health Partners: Ensuring students are healthy and ready to learn

At School Health Partners, we pride ourselves in partnering with schools and education based organizations to provide school health consulting and nursing staff. We match our quality nurses (RNs and LPNs) with the very specific health and wellness needs of individual public, charter, private, and parochial schools in the District of Columbia. Our mission is to support schools so students are healthy and ready to learn

By starting with your school’s specific health goals, then partnering to meet those goals, School Health Partners seeks to enhance the way you approach school and student health. We provide student-centric care and value school culture and academic philosophies. With our dedicated and exclusive focus on school health, we are quickly becoming the go-to resource and agency for student health consulting in Washington, D.C.

While working with nursing staffing agencies for schools has its advantages, SHP is changing the way healthcare professionals traditionally establish student health and wellness by being innovative, thoughtful, and student-centered.

Below are four reasons you should partner with our organization to help meet your student health and wellness needs.

School health education is our only focus: Unlike other nurse staffing agencies, SHP focuses only on school health and education partnerships. We don’t provide health services in other industries, which allows our expertise to be dedicated to collaborating with schools.

No one-size-fits-all approach: Our organization has a holistic approach to student health that meets both the school's needs and the individual needs of students. School Health Partners works well with independently operated schools like charter and private schools because of our customized approach. We integrate with each school partner by becoming a part of their team and by creating a custom health and wellness plan for their students and team.

Our nurses have worked closely with children: We’re committed to students’ health and academic success just like you are, which is why all of our nursing staff is either from school settings or the pediatric field. Staffing a nurse who has worked alongside children adds another layer of comfort, trust, and health precautions for both students and school staff members.

We are more than just a staffing agency: School Health Partners also provides consulting to help our education partners establish a health plan that addresses the specific challenges and goals of their institution.

We offer consulting services such as:

  • IHP/504/IEP development, planning, and implementation

  • New hire onboarding consultation

  • Staff Professional Development

  • Nursing practice consultation

  • Student health education

  • Chronic condition management

  • Communicable disease safety in schools

As we head into a new school year, it is important that school leaders have all the tools and resources necessary to keep their students healthy and thriving. We will be your partner in health and look forward to creating a wellness plan that meets your school’s unique needs.
